Guest Rooms
The rooms at the Azalea Garden Inn are oversized, custom finished, and individually decorated. Each room has either two double beds or one king sized bed, color television, and individually controlled heat and air conditioning.
Log Cabin
The log cabin is a separate building situated beside our stream in the midst of the gardens. The cabin's main floor features a large living/dining room with fireplace and cathedral ceiling, plus a modern, fully-equipped kitchen. The large loft bedroom has a king-size bed. While the term "Log Cabin" has a primitive connotation, this cabin can be described as “Rustic Elegance."

Read What Some of Our Visitors Had to Say -
Immaculate, Do not hesitate to stay here!- Sept 13, 2010
We just returned from Blowing Rock and stayed at the Azalea Garden Inn. On arrival, before I sat foot in the room ,I knew it was a special place... The property is immaculate. It is hard to imagine any one small family could maintain their property so well. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have not seen property so well maintained since Disney World!

| A wonderful change from the chain hotels- Sept 29, 2010
We saw this motel on the trip advisor and had to stay here! We were traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway through North Carolina and Virginia. The gardens were quaint and tended to perfectly. The outdoor music(very soft) was relaxing. Everything was great. it gave us a wonderful understanding of what Blowing Rock is all about!

A Wonderful Location and Motel- June 15, 2009
We had a delightful day there and would recommend it to others. We are seniors and felt our money was well spent on a spacious and clean room. The KNoll's take great pride in their property and made us fel right at home. The grounds are spectacular as are the paltings. I wish we had know of this on prior visit. The owner's wer glad to help with dinner ecommendations and were spot on for what we wanted and we wer able to walk to it. Great location easy 5 minutes walk to the center city.

Just About the Best Motel Ever June 11, 2009
It's certainly not an inn or a B&B! (There is coffee on the patio in the morning.) I can only echo the previous reviewers. If you are a gardener, you must stop here! And this is surely the cleanest motel in the world. Even the carpet is immaculate. If you want a nice breakfast, walk up and across the street to Knight's, which opens at 7. There is a lovely shaded patio with WIFI. |
Lovely place- Jun 21, 2008
Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, we stopped in Blowing Rock. We decided to stay at the Azalea Garden Inn. What a charming place. We got the last room (by the stair way), and loved our stay. Room was comfy, clean, and cozy. The staff is wonderful, as are the owners. The gardens are to die for. Beautiful and enchanting. If you are a gardener you will love it (even if you are not). They also have a little cabin, perfect for honeymooners. We will definitely be back.

Absolute Pleasure- May 27, 2008
This place is truly a gem. The Inn is meticulously maintained. The grounds are beautiful, and the location can't be beat. No need for a car once there since downtown is two blocks away. Superior Small Lodging is a good way to describe this place.

Lovely, peaceful, perfect little place in Blowing Rock - Oct 14, 2007
This was our first stay at this little place at one end of all the shopping in Blowing Rock and it was PERFECT. The grounds, the plantings, the entire atmosphere of this place were like a little slice of Heaven on Earth. Our room was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Renovated bathroom, and nicely decorated, the owners have done the little things that made this our best stay in Blowing Rock yet. Wonderful!!!

Just Lovely- Oct 13, 2007
My friends and I stayed here recently for two days and were very satisfied. It is the prettiest motel in Blowing Rock that I've seen, with gorgeously kept grounds, beautifully decorated for the fall season. Our rooms were lovely, the staff was very friendly and we look forward to staying here again when we return to Blowing Rock in the spring.

Gardens are breath taking- Sep 5, 2007
We have stayed here many times and continue to return. The accommodations and staff keep calling us back. Our room was decorated in blue and yellow country--loved the knotty pine. The room had a very new TV. Everything was very clean. The staff was in the gardens all day working on the flowers. There are two outdoor setting areas--beautiful. I couldn't get enough looking at the flowers. The only thing that I could complain about was the constant music in the outdoor setting areas. I stayed outside a lot and would have enjoyed a little quiet. The music was nice, but a little monotonous after an hour or two.

One of our favorite hotels anywhere- Jun 6, 2007
We've been coming to Blowing Rock for over 20 years. Although the town is getting more crowded than ever before, we can always count on the charm at this place. The grounds alone are worth the stay. If you don't mind spending a little extra, ask for one of the log cabin rooms for an extra special occasion. This and the Meadowbrook Inn are the best places to stay downtown, but we prefer the Azalea Garden for its smaller charm.

Anniversary in the Cabin- Aug 3, 2004
This was absolutely the most wonderful anniversary we've had. The cabin was beautiful and so clean, the view incomparable. The staff was so kind. The town of Blowing Rock is like a fairy tale. I would love to spend more time there. We can't wait to visit again. |
